A little bit about us......

 

A Home In The Hill is a small family owned and operated business that opened its first two doors to guests nearly seven years ago.  As residents of Federal Hill for nearly 12 years, we were about to deliver our first child and living in a small one bedroom apartment, had no comfortable place to accommodate out of town visitors.  We needed to find a convenient, close and affordable option for family and friends that wanted to visit for a couple of days or for a month.  So with the birth of our first son, came the birth of A Home In The Hill, a temporary furnished housing option for travelers to feel at home away from home in the wonderful village of Federal Hill.

 

While the intention was to provide housing to the visiting family and friends of the local residents, we quickly realized the demand for flexible, inexpensive furnished housing was much greater than anticipated. Due to the close proximity of various teaching hospitals and a thriving downtown economy, we were soon making reservations for a variety of traveling professionals, from doctors on rotation, traveling nurses and people relocating to the area and in need of temporary housing while searching for permanent housing.  

 

It is our goal to create a home away from home feeling for our guests.
